  1. BT's are really nosy and love to look at what is going on outside, they love conservatories, heaps of glass and heat (of course) ... snails are a real favorite too.
  2. My First BD was Munch and the second Delilah which turned out to be a male so we call him either Delilah or Del Boy... Our BT's we brought as a pair so we called the Pattie and Selma after the sisters on the Simpson's, however one was a male the other female. Heidy has Pattie and Matt has Selema.
  3. lol - attack of the moster tadpoles !!!! I think he meant 50mm (5cm) not 50cm, as a taddy that size could take on a cat & win he he : ]
  4. He came out about 2/3 weeks ago. Eating alot of veg and active, hasn't shed for ages
  5. Yeah, He is going real good. His favorite thing at the moment is to have a starring contest with the cat - he always wins ha ha.
  6. Del is a rep-teen, just over 12mths ... I think Doza,Tequila and maybe Calypso are his clutch mates ? I gather the clover and dandilion greens from outside & will eat any bug. Here are a few pics of him ...
  7. They can be picky eaters at different times of the year. I have learnt that bugs are good, the more they wiggle the better .... crickets are a staple and mealworms are a treat, cicadas also go down well. On the veg front, dandilion greens and flowers, plus green beans are a fav. I dust 3 times a week.
  8. Hi, Del is doing this as well, spends days in his log, will come out for live food though - little bug-er (ha ha- excuse the pun)
  9. Hi all, Thank you for your words and thoughts ... Munch is now buried in our garden with Tegal our canary who died several years ago and honey bunny. We are really missing him, we didn't realise how much we enjoyed him while he was with us. The saying is " Hopeless is the owner of a sick goldfish" however I think this can be extended to reptiles too. Delilah hasn't noted any change and is currently basking on his / her log. Anyway, I think I will open a bottle tonight for Munch and look at the photos we took of him over the year. Cheers Freakz & fam
  10. Hi All, Abit of sad news, Munch died over night, found him outside of his cave, he is very yellow and sprawled out as if he is asleep.
  11. Yarrrrr it be Doza a.k.a Black Beard the Dragon .... yaaarrr that it be .... lol Still gotta catch up for a BD play group ...
  12. Delilah is 254g and Munch is hiding in his cave will post an update soon .... he is still small and flat, feeding cat food and beans / veg along with rep-vits. His breathing is better, but would love for him to put weight on - sigh !
  13. I thought Bubba was Forrest's friend who liked shrimp alot ?
  14. Hi Livingart , I thought about that when I did the initial construction of the enclosure. When cutting the fake grass I found that it frayed and bits came off. So I meticuously went around the entire dege making sure no more could fall out or be pulled out by a dragon thinking that it was something that it could eat (Plastics ingested in animals equals a bad thing) I used a lighter to "seal" the edges. Munch has eaten lettuce , carrot and tomato today so I'm happy that he must of got over it and hopefully wont see a repeat - fingers crossed. Just wish that the little bugg'er would put more weight on
