Actually G. altifrons. ;)

Good thread, I really have to learn how to take decent photos of mine!

Here's a full-tank pic for now, breeding pair of Uaru amphiacanthoides + 3 Acarichthys heckelii.

Also have Satanoperca leucosticta (or Geophagus jurupari as its usually incorrectly identified as here) G. altifrons, and Gymnogeophagus balzanii.

they are all about a year and a half to 2 years old now.

I think that one is a female - the whole blue spot thing didnt work on these guys =( i just had to go on the length of the dorsal fin. females - curved; males - pointed (that and i knew the females laid the eggs lol)...

the importers list call it a borellii... that passes on to the suppliers... and the the retaliers. so when we see a "borellii" on the list and order it in; we have to sell it as a borellii cause that's what the computers receipt the stocks as. :wink:

there are females. yellow in colour... either that or they are pale silver.
