Oh Bad. a little red worm in the gravel?

Anyone? is this a dangerous parasitic nematode? I thought everything was so good in there.

Or are there different kinds of little red worms?

eww Not cut out to be a fish scientist, but wish I was just for now.

it was the size of a mosquito larvae, and flicking similarly. It was stuck in the gravel. I took it out, but should I treat for worms??

it should be fine, probably a sign of overfeeding - do a big water change by siphoning the gravel

If it is red it is probably tubifex and harmless fish food.

when i started working in a petshop i had to make the other staff cut the feeding down coz it was over the top and then i started to only feed fish after a while all these Worms would come out the gravel looking for food(coz i cut it down)there was so much i just took all gravel out but was told its harmless to fish and it lives off the excess food in tank,

so yeh like everyone else said water changes and less food

Tank is pretty new, and I've only seen one. But there will be siphoning from now on.
