TerminalAddict
jansens are the only ones with them. and they are de-sexed so they can't breed
fins
WOW thats alot of money. Why would they de-sex them?
Alan
Same reason as you would only sell male Rachovii Alan
Wok
at least these ones are of a decent size now. 30cm when jansens first got them they were only 6cm long. $4000 now includes the tank they are swimming in.
fins
Jeeze I dont know how many times I have told you this, The only rachovii I have sold are my original breeding pair. But I should have fry in a couple of weeks.

Alan
I look forward to seeing them Fins. How did you incubate the eggs. My eggs take about 2 to 3 weeks when I incubate most of my killie eggs. It's fun waiting for them tho. Wok, N. rachovvi are an annual killie. dogmatix
i can tell you the one at mount eden is not stunted you should come andtalk to us there. All of the asain arows are desexed even if you import yourself
kim
the red tape in getting them in is hard and you have to pay for them even if they die, the ones at jansens are not the true red they are a cross, i no the one at silverdale is growing well as brent feeds it alot. redwoods fish are alot better but , not that i have seen it but i no what his fish are like they are always well looked after and feed ,
dogmatix
the one at mt eden is not a cross it is not a red either, it is a gold, nor is it stunted. I highly doubt that it is a cross. It is silicon chipped which matches the birth certificate, which has the parents details on it. The breeder would be liable if endeed they were a cross. Jansens have had ppl buy them from asia to take back home so i think this speaks for the quality of the reds alone IMO. Ben
kim
ben ask brent he will tell you they are crosses (the reds) or look on the paper work, there have only been a few true reds come into nz and you guys havent had them. i havent seen the one in mount eden for months so i wouldnt no if it was stunted and i cant see that it would be any way,
breakaway
jansens are the only ones with them. and they are de-sexed so they can't breed Just out of curiosity, how exactly are fish de-sexed ? dogmatix
the most popular method for desexing fish is to expose the eggs to a tretment that rather than desexes actually turns the fish triploid. As for the arows i cant remember, soz.
