smidey
all i do to prime them is blow thru the spraybar end until air comes out the pick up pipe then suck until water starts coming up the spraybar pipe. reconnect the spraybar pipe to the spray bar & away it goes. Ira
And if that doesn't work siphon out through the outlet hose into a bucket. Mine's always started flawlessly except for two times. One I'd accidentally left one of the valves closed, the other I hadn't realized I'd drained the tank down past the inlet.
PPS
is the inlet tube on the inlet and visa versa?
smidey
is the inlet tube on the inlet and visa versa? that wouldn't stop the flow, would just enter & exit the wrong pipes.
Olly
it would stop it if the outlet was above the water

Olly
I have a cf700 when mine doesnt start i tip it on its side, so the taps are pointing down. this has not failed to make it work for me. once it starts going stand it up slowly to let the bubbles out slowly
