phoenix44
if the fish is small, you'll fine...................initially. then you could upsize ha ha think of them like oscars - similar space requirements.

David R
There is no such thing as a "borneo tiger", which is yours? It is most likely to be an indonesian tiger, although there have been a few american tigers available recently [not labeled as such, of course]. Mine took 3 years to reach about 11" in a 300L tank. Feed them shrimp, beefheart and other meaty foods, and they appreciate good clean water.
henward
i think theey grow slow to a certain extent when they get to a 4 to 6 inches, they can consume more, hence probably the growth is more but from a small fish, they grow slow! Silvia-15
growth rate varies, 2 of my 4' ones have gone to 6' while the other one hasnt changed. picky eaters, especially when large, but can go a ridiculous amount of time without food... and i wouldnt compare them to oscars, when a baby oscars fully grown, a dats probably grown 1'... haha

David R
I know Mt Roskill has an AT, I'm trying to remember if the one I saw at Albany was an AT or an IT. IT's are much more common, and have a definate silver colour, the cartoon pic is a little misleading as ST and IT aren't usually that yellow until they're large and perfectly stable.
