If you want to be pedantic, no it isn't. Table salt is sodium chloride, there is also low sodium table salt which is, iirc potassium chloride(Slightly radioactive BTW cool!) MrEd Posted October 17, 2008 Report Share Posted October 17, 2008 If you want a kg of the stuff "Cerebos" Rock Salt in a blue and white bag was the cheapest by far in my area (no Bin In) from Countdown. I rang Cerebos first to check it had no additives and they said it was as pure as you can get. Had other brands spouting pure & natural 250gm bags for the same price and dearer as the kg!
