tinytawnykitten
Our beautiful little 8 year old bicolour siamese has just been to the vet today and has a large (7cm across) mass inside her. She is the most beautiful little cat. She will have an ultrasound on Tuesday in Lower Hutt to see whether it has spread or whether it can be removed. I am devastated about it. firefish
thats really sad My fingers are crossed for her. She's absoultly beautiful. Everytime my cats have to have an operation I worry about them until they get home and I know they're safe.

Afrikan
Awww she is gorgeous TTK.. I am so sorry to hear your news..... We used to have a Blue Lynx Point... They are so full of charcacter... I am sending a heap of positive vibes your way and I hope they can do something for her....
John Rimbauer
Ouch. I hope she comes out well! My seal point girl is currently sitting on my knee - they are such characters that it's really hard coping with them being ill. I've lost one Oriental to cancer - not something I'd wish on anyone! Foxglove
Sad news indeed. A work colleague ran over her cat today - broke it's pelvis so the cat has to be in a very small cage for six weeks. Best wishes for tomorrow.

skaffen
Good luck for tomorrow. My 14 yr old cat just recovered from the flu. It was touch and go for a few days, but he's on the mend now. Really made me aware how much I'd miss him. Anyway, I hope it works out for the best, ++ Karma to you and your puss.

tinytawnykitten
Well she had her scan today and it is a large cancerous growth but it is contained so they think they are going to be able to fully remove it!! :bounce: :bounce:
sandysme
yay for you,,, :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: Thats great news.. Hey tiny im got my operation on monday if you want me to bring anything down to you....
Afrikan
Wow that is awesome news that it is contained TK Our Blue Lynx Point boy that we had, had a contained growth on his chest cavity/lung section, however it was not removeable, so that was a real downer, just so glad that your girl has a growth that is manageable enough to remove

Hey tiny im got my operation on monday if you want me to bring anything down to you.... Oh that's really kind. If I think of anything I will PM you. If you want somewhere to crash if you have some downtime my door is always open to you. Wow that is awesome news that it is contained TK Our Blue Lynx Point boy that we had, had a contained growth on his chest cavity/lung section, however it was not removeable, so that was a real downer, just so glad that your girl has a growth that is manageable enough to remove Sorry to hear about your boy, this growth is partly obstructing her bowel I think. I don't really know the ins and outs of it but it was definitely good rather than bad. Yep, the ubiquitous Domo-kun Have you ever seen Rex The Runt? Quite similar. skaffen
Awesome news, glad to hear it's operable Good luck for the surgery. Yeah, Rex does look similar to Domo. I like Vince the best, something about the teeth and they way his eyes are different sizes, and usually looking in different directions
Caper
Sorry about your kitty tiny, but glad to hear that they will be able to remove the growth :bounce: When will she have the surgery?? Keep us posted. Caper
tinytawnykitten
I got the results of the biopsy yesterday and it is actually not as good as they first thought. It is lymphoma and of the 5 lymphomas it could have been, it is the worst. She will have the surgery on Tuesday and then some chemo over 3 months but she is only likely to live a year. It is a real blow cos we were kind of lulled into a false sense of security. And goodness knows how I am going to afford it. The operation alone is over $1000. I know the money isn't important but it is when you haven't got it.
