supasi
The question is what is causing the cloudyness. Suspended particles such as dust etc from gravel Green water(algae) Bacterial bloom, possible caused by overfeeding You must diagnose the problem before you can fix it. I agree whole-heartedly with this. I think shops like to sell us a chemical for everything (that's where they get their best profits). Adding chemicals to your tank should only be done once you know exactly what the problem is, and exactly what you are trying to achieve. The water in my tank is a little cloudy at the moment, too. I will be checking the filter media today (and possibly adding a finer material to the last stage).

suphew
Since it is getting worse my guess would be a bacterial bloom. But what ever it is, it will be because it's a new tank, just sit back and give it some time, you can't add fish or anything for a while yet so just relax and enjoy planning what fish you are going to add.
