Pies
I'd sell my Bi-Colour, but you will have to catch him, he can usually be found eating my corals and flicking over rocks and corals around the tank. He also bites me whenever my hand is in there and likes to swin into my Stream Pumps. Great fish...

Brianemone
79$ from jansens and 70$ from hollywood hmmmmm which store deserves my support sorry anemone but your going to have to wait
Alan
I'd go Hollywood, they will give you a 10% discount if you ask, and if you are a member of a club affiliated to the Hosts of this site, the FNZAS Alan ps, don't forget to ask for the discount, it's not given as of right. If you don't get it, don't be abusive, they give it out of the kindness of their heart and in appreciation of the Federation and it's members. Pies
Last time I went to HFF and asked for the discount, they gave it to me but I did have to present my membership card. Pies

Alan
Yep, if you shop at Jansens, I can recommend getting the services of Ben. When I was there earlier this year, he treated me, with my items that I obtained, with a, well you know what I mean, but it doesn't happen all the time. It was much appreciated too Ben. Thanks Alan
chimera
My bi-colour blenny must've taken some hints from Pies one. He is getting more and more agressive especially when anything goes near his "hole". I was killing aiptasia with a syringe and he was attacking it and my hand! Scared the crap outta me coz I wasnt expecting it. Now the little bugger chases takes on the blue tang when its feeding time! Very funny to watch though
lduncan
The fun comes when you have a surprise fish attack which makes you flinch and burn your arm on the halides! Talk about painfull. Everytime it happens I think next I put my arm in the tank I'm gonna turn off the halides. But for the quick fixes you have to make on the spot you just forget. I don't know how many times this has happen to me. Layton
Pies
Lucky the bulbs don't explode and cause some serious injury (and cost!).

jetskisteve
Hmmm the importers blame shipping!!
rainman
Yeah, I'm sure they're right, but it's just such a shame. Everything must be so expensive and I doubt that you see that many SPS frags in LFS etc.. (not that you really do here, but at least you can order them etc...). It might hamper your efforts. Ira
Livestock here seems to be in the 4-5X as much range compared to the US. And that's taking the exchange rate into account.
chimera
thats why a few of us by offshore (im talking equipment, not necessarily fish)

I'd have to disagree here. Livestock prices in general i would say are around 1.5 times what they are in the US, and there are very good reasons for this. 1) MAF 2) MUCH lower volume It's not as bad as some people make out. jetskisteve
huh been to Aus lately?
reef
Aussie is not that much cheaper either. They are cheaper because marines are collected from the reef. Have you seen prices of imported stock like yellow tangs, flame angels, our prices compare very well? Our 3 week quarantine affects the prices quite a lot due to power, maf/customs costs, deaths etc. We are very lucky with the variety of stock we get. Some people just don’t appreciate what it takes to get it. America buys so much that they don’t care if they kill a few hundred pieces per shipment.
