Dixon1990
What can i use for a stand for aqua one euro view? I have the 120L 75cm one. And it has plastic around the top and bottom edge, But if i put it on a flat surface im scared there will be too much pressure on the centre. So how can i do it? dwalk
I have one of these as well, It's my community tank, the one i'm doing the heating experiment on. Mine is happily sitting on a blanket box, has been there for a year with no worries.

Stella
Not knowing what this tank is like.... do you mean it doesn't have a single flat surface as the bottom, but a lip around the edge? Lots of polystyrene... one of those very thin camping 'mattresses'... filling the recessed area with some kind of stuff that starts as goo then sets...... wouldn't have to be perfect but would level it out a lot. dwalk
These tanks rely on a thin gap under the glass as insulation, that's what my one has, it seems to work , as the wood beneath doesn't get very warm at all. A bit like double glazing I think
Slightly Blue Dalmation
i got my stand for $2 at supershed, an oldschool steel framed desk. they have lots of random tables and chests that may work if you can get out there
Fishy_Lips
these tanks are made of quite thick glass so it shouldn't be a problem they are made to be either with or without a stand.
spoon
i have the euroveiw 90 with the proper stand the top is completely flat , i can see what u r talking about as the tank dosent sit on the glass but rather the plastic rim around the bottom , my goldfish tank is also like this and it over laps at the front and back of the stand i am using no problems last two years
Dixon1990
So tank can go on the stand without polystyrene? I was going to put carpet inbetween the plastic cos i have a piece that would fit perfectly, would this be ok?
wilson
the stand is a flat top it dosnt need any poly under it
spoon
poly is still recommende i guess i just used a really thin pice that was alredy under the tank when i brought it its not really poly but some thin sheet like poly plastic stuff the ply isnt there to hold the wieght of the tank but even out ane undulations in the surface u put the tank on but i dont think it would matter too much aneway as it dosent sit on the glass onlky the plastic rim and yeah like some1 said the glass is pretty thick . 1 think i can recommend to do before u set it up is top seal around the inside of the top plastic capping as its not sealed that well and condensation tends to leak down the side of the tank or front of the tank leaving the nasty scale stuff thats hard to get off
