Afrikan
I wish we could... haven't seen or heard of any in NZ 8) Found this link on them... just incase others wonder exactly what fish Silvia is referring to 8) http://aqualandpetsplus.com/Cichlid,%20Ocellaris.htm Check out further on down the page.... pics of young peacock bass consuming fish not much smaller or the same size almost as themselves... they are a true predatory fish
VinsonMassif
Search YouTube for clips. There are lots of live feeding clips. A particularly interesting one where a guy feeds his a live mouse, it doesn't last long. That is about all you can get of them in NZ.... David R
THE LIST No Pbass, but pike cichlids are on the list (one species anyway, not that anyone inspecting them would have the slightest clue on how to ID them...)
Afrikan
Are you meaning the list of the allowables in NZ Silvia or are you meaning... different fish suppliers lists and what they have available cichlid wise at the moment....
Silvia-15
mostly NZ allowable, seeing if its allowed, then i have hope.
David R
Its strange how things like the pikes and red terrors (festae) are on the list but you almost never see them. I've never heard of a festae in NZ, and I've only see pikes for sale once, with a big tank in Napier.

Silvia-15
hey guys, so IF a fish is on the list does that mean we CAN order it with a fish store?
alanmin4304
You can order it but you may not get it. Many fish are allowed to be imported but are not, either because they are too hard to get through 6 weeks of quarantine, or the exporter does not have them, or there is a limited market for them, or all sorts of reasons.
