R.E. turtle hatch rates.

R. E. Turtle hatching rates for 2007-2008: Out of 12 batches of eggs totalling 83 I hatched 50 and 3 died in the first week. How does this compare to others out there? 60% doesn't seem that good.

i usually range between 80 and 95% of eggs put down

but i do just set up incubation and leave it till hatchtime

left 10 nests inground this year, nothing hatched from those

my methods don`t really warrent a mention,but get way more than that ,way into the 90% even though I may not excavate till they are half hatched or more(this could cause as many losses as infertility,probably more)only hatched about 60 this year without really trying,also 2 natural hatches,one just 2 weeks ago.there maybe more out there which will emerge in spring.
