Tanks like that are not as good as the equivalent sized, normal shaped tank as they have much less surface area. That tank would only be good for a community of smallish fish, and only a medium number of fish. Remember, goldfish get big, fast! Would make a good terrarium You only need about 5 inches worth of space for a metal halide. There's room enough there to fit 1000 watts of lighting if you weren't worried about practicality. A swarm of bumblebee goby's? A bunch of otto's? Ok, so none of those ideas (except the killifish) are really plausible... but I still reckon the kuhli loach tank would be great!
