How Do i breed them>

I have them in a 30cm cube tank with a power filter, mops, bog wood???

I know that you need a container of peat how big should it be?

Should it be filled to the top. Any pics would be appreciated.

How dry should the peat be after spawning?

I use Jiffy pots and normally put one and a half in the container.

they will kick a lot out as they spawn and you need to syphon that out as there will be eggs in that as well

I squeeze the peat as hard as I can to dry it and then double bag it useing ziplock bags

You could use one of those medium sized pots you get stuff in from the Deli at the supermarket.

Barrie forgot to tell you to soak, pull the skins off, then boil the Jiffy pots for about ten minutes in a pot of water to get rid of the small amount of fertiliser in them, before you put about an inch of it in the container.

well i got a small container, cut a halfmoon circle.

Boiled peat, added about 4cm to it.

Added a rock to make in sink.....

checked 10mins ago and I think I see a egg at the surface???

Will waite two weeks then pull the container out and see what i get.

I can promise you that you will not be able to see the egg while the pot is still in the tank... they are small and clear but when you notice the peat spreding all over the tank floor you will be getting eggs

Dont forget to siphon the bottom of the tank as there will be eggs in there as well

I posted that stuff to you tonight and the next clearance is 9am Sunday so hopefully you will get the info on Monday
