Adrienne
I've got 3 cf1200s plus one of each of the other sizes. Work well and a good price IMO.

Ira
Only thing I've noticed is it does seem to have a little trouble with filtering to a really fine level. Which, I think is really the same thing you'll get with even good ones. One of my tanks has been a bit cloudy for the last month or two. I put some filter wool over the intake(After a couple glass angels got stuck to it) and suddenly it's nice and clear.

camnbron
I found the CF1200 good. I had it on a 240L community tank. They are nice and easy to work with. Only issue I had was a leaking isolation valve - but that was a batch issue and the place I bought it off sent replacement ones for free. Ira
BTW, I don't think it's a problem inherent with the CF1200. I think it's more to do with the filterwool pads they give you. They give the water a lot of room to flow past them around the edges of the filter wool. If you take your own and stuff it in tightly so the water can't sneak around the edges then I think you'll be fine. The medium and coarse sponges are a lot stiffer so I don't think they'd have this issue.
