paekakboyz
Hi All, I've got a pretty well planted tank and I'm thinking of adding some floating plants... I was wondering if people might be able to suggest some of their personal favs! thanks!
alanmin4304
Floating plants will block the light off so you wouldn't want plants that need good light.

danilada
How come all my fish seem to eat the duckweed?
paekakboyz
thanks all, riccia might be a good one to have a look at - there aren't any really light hungry plants in the tank (glosso etc) and I'd only look to have about 20-30% surface coverage... enough to give a bit of shade and a nice effect. fish_fingers
Indian fern can look ok if floated as it's throws down some ncie roots.... Hyrdocottle also looks nice floating...... the banana plant with the massive leaves is also great.

Faran
Agree with above comments - Riccia and Tiger Lotus. Paekakboyz, I just got a new T5 light for my living room tank and it's wicked, come by for a look and check out the riccia and tiger lotus at the same time.
