Warren
Hi All, The Hawkes Bay Aquarium Society wishes to offer all financial FNZAS club members the opportunity to come with us to visit Gary Boyer and Aquagold goldfish farm in the Gisborne area on the weekend of the 16th and 17th of Feb. We expect people coming from outside the Hawkes Bay area will likely carry on with the group using the cars they travelled to Napier in. However, if you are interested in travelling by van (if we get the numbers) we may be able to fit you in if we are short and you really want to travel with us. The plan: Saturday 16th Feb: 09:00 Depart from the National Aquarium 11:30 - 12:00 Arrive in Gisborne and visit Gary Boyer. 13:00 Lunch 14:30 Depart Gisborne 15:30 Arrive at Aquagold 17:30 Dinner at Aquagold / Motor Camp 20:00 Retire for the evening to the motor camp. 10:00 Depart the motor camp 12:00 Lunch 15:00 Arrive at the National Aquarium Costs: Vehicle costs (ex Napier) will depend on numbers. If we get 12 we can take a mini-van at a cost of $25 per person plus the cost of fuel. If there are not enough people to fill a van then we will have to take personal vehicles. If you wish to go and will offer you car to take others, please indicate so in you reply. Item-------------------Adult-----------Child Rental Van---------$25--------------$25 Fuel (rental van)---$6--------------$6 Car Fuel-------------$30-------------$30 (based on 4 people per car) Cabins---------------$20-------------$10 Tent Site------------$10-------------$5 Dinner----------------$10-------------$5 Aquagold is organising the dinner and activities for all who go. Aquagold will also allow us to catch our own fish and will offer the caught fish at very good prices to those who wish to buy them. A limited pick-up service will be available if a number mean we can take a van. If we take personal vehicles I will be able to put people in touch with each other to arrange who goes with who and what the costs will be. This promises to be a very interesting trip. Gary has a very extensive fish-room and Aquagold is enormous!! You'll kick yourself if you miss it. Please contact me at (use my email button at the bottom of this post) or call on 06 845 2512 or 021 410 479 if you are interested in going. We need to know definite numbers by Friday 8th Feb please. xtravertjohn
Warren, you think the Members, at least, would give you the courtesy of a response, even though it is scheduled over Art Deco Weekend 2008.
Warren
Yes, you would think so but so far it's only been you and two other's who have responded. Warren
Hi All, Sadly the Gisborne Trip has been cancelled. Only three people showed any interest in going, one who would like a lift and another two who are staying elsewhere at a friends house so wouldn't have been part of the main travelling group. As such the trip is not viable. I am a little disappointed only three other people from the HBAS bothered to let me know one way or another.
