Adrienne
Looking at discus, rams, a couple of bristlenose, have some kribs but will have to see how they go and some other ground dwellers. Kribs currently in with the rams at the moment but female is very stroppy when she has eggs . Will be a slow process stocking it with both plants and fish. :-? evilknieval69
Starting to come together! Gunna look awesome once all the plants grow in. What plants have you got in there now?
Adrienne
Only got java fern (narrow leaf I think), java fern windelov, some sort of sword (small) and one other? Getting a few osiris sword and hairgrass. As I want this to have 5-6 discus in it I don't want to plant too heavily as it will make it harder to keep the tank really clean and I want them to be seen! I only put aquarium mix in about 1/4 -1/3 of the tank under the propagating sand for this reason also. Its in a semi circle and its where I intend to plant the majority of the plants I'm putting in. I also don't really understand about the lighting and how I work out what I need (technologically challenged at the best of times I am  ). Its a wonder I can post this

Fish 8 rams - 2 pairs gold, 2 pairs blue 2 bristlenose - both males I think 5 sterbai corys (1 more still to come) pH7 Ammonia - nil The tank is not balanced yet as far as plants go, the ones on the right are currently taller than the ones on the left. Pics - Full tank shot Right hand side of tank Rams & Bristlenose

Adrienne
Not yet, going on holiday today & leaving non fishy son with all my tanks - have purchased only one discus so far and will wait until I return to collect it and stock tank. Lost a pair of gold rams (don't know why) but others are fine, plants appear to be finally starting to grow. Small amount of algae appearing on one of my rocks - not sure what type at this stage. pH fluctuating a bit but everything else is nil. Adrienne
Finally got my discus today, I'm so so happy with them. The tank survived my being away although the plants didn't do much with the lights off for a week. Added a few val plants but I'm not that great at growing them. Heres some pics for you and this shot taken end on. Have posted pics of the discus in the cichlid section
