Hi everyone i have just purchased my first tank (60l).

Just got it up and running and introduced my first two fish this afternoon, a male and pregnant female sword tail. Next on the list will be a siamese fighter, plecostomus and a few cardinal tetras.

Hi there,

I am pretty new to this forum myself and have found this to be a really interesting site. Lots of useful info and helpful people. I love the betta, it's a very facinating fish. Hope you will have lots and lots of joy watching your fish grow. All the best in fish keeping!

Hi Aaron,

Welcome to the fishroom. I hope you learn as much as I have since joining. Do you belong to a fish club? If not, I think there is a club on the North Shore.

We meet in chat at 9 pm every night, so would be good to see you there.

Chris.

Yeah, welcome aaron, good to see you on chat last night.

If you go to Pupuke aquarium and speak with Kim,

she will tell you all about the North Shore Club.

Tell her "Alan sent you"

She has a kewl shop, and a Hairy McCleary dog.

Nice lady too,

loves talking fish and helping with any problems you may have.

Alan

Hi and welcome Aaron. I too suggest you don't get a plec as they are too big for your tank. Good luck with the pregnant sword. By the way, swords should be kept 1 male to at least 2 or more females or he will harass the female to death.
