The kole tang seems to hide behind the rock alot, still active roaring up and down the back, but just not out the front where I would prefer him to be  . Would this be because it is the only tang in the tank? Or is it just a settling in/freaked out by the nosey people type thing

I'm keeping my eyes out for another different tang to add in later on (christmas time)just not a bog standard type.

... I'm sure the last Foxface to come in wasn't $170

It depends where the fish was shipped from and the foxface is not the same as the normal ones, this one has a black spot on them.

Prices are going up due to inflation , maf costs/ air freight.

Some airlines have really raised the prices.

But stock is still cheap considering that volumes to nz is very small.

Does the exporters catch quota limit for the year have much to do with it?

The kole tangs are awesome fish, is the other one still there?

No quote on fish. only corals which need cities and quote.

Its harder to get stock because demand is too high overseas,

Ok, so definitely yellow tangs then... A shop in Petone (YAY! Wellington marines!) had a small one for $220. I think an Auckland shop advertised them for $200 a few weeks ago? And I can't remember where but I saw somewhere else not long ago advertising them for $250.

:-? I'm sure they do have a quota system for fish reef, It wouldn't be as strict as NZ's QMS but they would still have a max number of fish they can take in a year.
