malawi_man
here's a few pics I took this morning. Male venustus/giraffe - i'm quite proud of this guy, I raised him and his 7-8 brothers and sisters from eggs, he is about 17cm now I think. Male Baenschi - Just recently got 3 pairs of these - this is the best looking male. Male Jacobfreibergi - Got 3 pairs of these recently like the baenschi, best looking male again. Female fryeri - I know she doesn't look like much, I couldn't get a good pic of either of the males, I will try harder One of my julidochromis transcriptus - trying to scare me off I think. That's his/her hidey shell in the background. Male and female hansbaenschi (one of the females looks ready to breed so fingers crossed Male hansbaenschi again, one of my favourite fish at the moment. Adrienne
Nice photos and really nice fish. Can you give me some really good sites to look up about caring/keeping these fish and also are there any that can be kept in 2ft tanks or do they need to be 4ft at least. Thanks
firenzenz
Hey Daniel The azureus came in a wee while ago so got a Trio. Red empress I got off Mike aka Tropheus, I think there are some more around also- yeah the colouration is insane. Currently shifting things around to grow up the freibergs and Baenschi's-probably same shipment as yours. One of them will end up in the display tank with those big haps. Adodge- got to be cichlidforum.com. Go into the fish profiles. 2ft is pushing it. You could always buy juvi's which can be great to watch and grow them into bigger tank. there are always electric yellows, demasoni, kadango and fryeri fry on Trademe. cheers! Demasoni Dagonblood peacock
