Drifty Posted March 29, 2007 Report Share Posted March 29, 2007 Hi, just wondering if t5 bulbs are made specifically for the aquarium trade(well mh bulbs as well) or are they just differentiated because of their kelvin rating. reef Posted March 29, 2007 Report Share Posted March 29, 2007 Most are repackaged for the aquarium trade, some are better quality than others, and there are only about 4 main companies in the world that make bulbs. It is all volume driven, It is also hard to compare different k ratings as they are just that by name and most would not be even 14k etc, they just look blue so they call it 14k for example.
