Basically this computer will do anything as you can upgrade it here are some pics. few of its features Modules/expansion cards are placed in the unit, avoiding a big pile of external equipment. No screws, just unclip the sides and your in. Therapy, program a therapy session on your tank, for sick fish through the use of heaters and cooling from 3 to 21 days. The lighting options are crazy to say the least. T-5 dimming,moon phases, rainy days, storms, clouds and burn-in modes,LED dimming. wirless Networking, software and internet (bluetooth/LAN ready Aug. i believe) Ability to control pumps with Variable flow, like tunze. Thnk I will just import an illegal Thai worker and they can manual turn everything on and off. What sort of backup does the system have? I don't think I would trust one system to run the lot. reef Posted March 20, 2007 Author Report Share Posted March 20, 2007 As long as the power is on it will work I have used a IKS for many years and never had a problem as they have safety features built in. The IKS is becoming outdated so i thought i would try a new type as this unit is one of the best around. Having a aquarium computer gives you piece of mind when you go away for a few days/weeks as it will monitor and text/sms you if something goes wrong. here are some pics. reef Posted November 12, 2007 Author Report Share Posted November 12, 2007 ok, its 1am and i finally got the wireless part going. I can change my settings from my computer. After 7 months of getting it i final got around to set most of it up. This computer does almost everything. SMS texting will be available next month. Hopefully i will have a web cam up so i can check on my tank when i go on holiday. Will get some update photos tomorrow and see if i can connect my nano 6055 to it as it can be used as a Multi controller to pulse pumps. Want to get if fully runing by end year so that it can maybe help before things go wrong and alert me. Nothing worse when coming home and you have no water in the tank. One great feature is that if the temperature of my tank gets to high it will turn of the halides. great for summer.
