Sirkus
Ive been doing a small amount of gooooogling and managed to find very little on tanks available except aqua one. Anyone know of other makes and what do you think about them?

PENEJANE
I also am a supplier for Juwel aquariums. If you were to google these you will notice the filter box sits inside the tanks (unlike others that have them in the hood) this filter box includes the heater, powerhead and filter media. Lights are in the hood. With Juwel aquariums you can get the following brands Rekord Rio Vision Trigon I have sizes from 60ltrs up to 450ltrs. Cabinets also available at additional cost. Visit www.juwel-aquarium.com for more information about the individual tanks and designs.

smidey
I have a 1000mm Sunsun tank & its brilliant. Filters are good but I have added a canister to run with the standard hood filter. This gives me crystal clear water. The hood itself is aluminium except for the end caps, I have viewed a few aqua one tanks & think the plastic components are not as sturdy or practical as the sunsun items. Also the cost from joshua on trademe is excellent, roughly half the price or less of the comparitive aqua one item. My tank & cabinet cost me $439 & all i needed to purchase additionaly to get it running was the heaters. The water clarity was good with the standard filter but the canister made it un-believable. http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g183/ ... 9cb488.jpg Smidey
Caryl
I always have mine made by glaziers - lots cheaper than getting "brand" tanks.
fishboi
i prefer the looks of custom made tanks rather than "brand" tanks with the hood and all. its cheaper and u can have it the exact size u want.
Sirkus
thanks for the info, i think custom tank maybe a good option, i like external filters alot, its so much easier to clean in my opinion. i like the sunsun tanks. i dont see why i cant have both hehe. smidey
The reason i bought a "brand" tank was the cabinet came with it, the hood matches but most of all the rounded front corners, I liked these alot more than the butt join of a custom made item. SpidersWeb
lol I actually prefer the square "butt join" look, paticularly with a squared hardwood hood and base. All up to personal taste though, 439 for a 1m tank, filter, lights, base, and alloy hood is a very good deal.
Sirkus
both decent points, i like aqua one too for the curved front glass but the roblem with them is that they only go upto AR-980 in that range however the larger range of tanks they do are pretty poor quality and in design.
