rcon021
I am wanting to know if anyone got any of these fish and if they were interested in trading them for some red ones. I will swap one for one. Or even if anyone knows where i could get one that is not red.

PENEJANE
lol soo true. I don't know if I have listed the pictures up in the other thread that has "Show us your Bettas". But you could check there and you will see the HM that I used to have. Swaped him and a couple of offspring for a trio of angels but got some lovely youngens from him which I am very happy about. One is quite red with a very wide black border around his fins. Very awesome and more of a round tail/ super delta than a HM.
TimTam22
Do you still have you mollies?
PENEJANE
if you mean me the answer is no. They sold on trademe last week for the trio I had left. Sorry. I had to sell them quick as I needed to reduce my tanks before we start moving house.
AMAZONIAN
Just as an exercise then. Try getting an "EMERALD GREEN" Betta. I had a gorgeous male when I was a youngster (40 years ago) but haven't seen one since then. Blue was all the rage and GOOD Blue's still are in fashion, it's just that the colour has to be a real good BLUE. I sell a lot more of my blues than Reds. But it depends on the quality of the Blue. AMAZONIAN
Yes I have seem a "Black" Betta and also an "Orange and Black" Betta in New Zealand. I was going to buy the black one until I was told the price. ($65.00) But it wasnt in a Breeders Tank. It was in a shop, so no guarantee of age etc. and I thought it a bit high risk in view of the cost. They also have had those colours in Critter Kingdom in Stanmore Road, Christchurch. I recall them being in there about five months ago so they are in the country. but I don't know who is breeding them. I am only breeding Reds and Blues as I cant get an "Emerald" Green. fishboi
has anyone ever seen a black one in NZ? yep, i use to breed them. problem with those is u never get 100% black off spring so there is never enough around to make it to the shops.
