  1. Im actually thinking of using pine now and sealing it with a clear gloss stain. Any suggestions on that ?
  2. Aquatopia

    What cory?

Thats what they are at the moment down here. But you are right - its too much.

They are often mis-labelled as Julii, but I have seen them around the $15 mark. IMO if Sterbai are priced at $18-20 then $10 is more appropriate for these, but they are lovely. In fact, they were the first ever fish I had - a troop of 7 of them.
  4. Thats awesome - best of luck for raising them successfully. Reckon theres about 90 there. Do you know what strain they are ?
  5. So its not calvus then cos they are alto. too. erm i will think of something else..
  6. A big heap of Altolamprologus Compressiceps. If we guess right do we get some ? hehe.

Nah I reckon the first suggestion is right - definitely a trilineatus. Check out this link to an aquahobby picture - same thing :-) Schwartzis have a more solid dark head with less of a reticulated look (as shown below) ..
  8. Guys I think this lighting discussion might best be dealt with as a separate post please.
  9. The scaping is great - Im not sure the pot looks right though (just bein honest and its only my opinion) - seems kinda out of place. A few more plants to fill out some of the gaps at the back will come in the future no doubt, but its a great improvement -
  10. They are for the sentence they are in though, lol. On another note - there are some letter combinations in the Thai language which, when pronounced differently, mean up to five totally different things. And none of this nonsense is going to help with aquascaping
  11. mine will rest on the glass lids but some screw them up onto the lid
  12. Nice - have you got current shots of what it looks like or are they a few pages back ? (Im not sure i have the patience to trawl back lol)
  13. Butt yewe mite miss spel won, hehe  Anyway aquavitamins - lets see some pics so we can pull it to pieces - erm i mean offer some improvement possibilities
  14. I agree smidey - both morphs are lovely - how many fry do you have? Do you have adults who are breeding ? I took the liberty of adjusting some of the settings to brighten up the first picture - hope you dont mind, as i thought it was a very cute shot.
  15. Cool, look forward to that - any idea how many there are ?
  16. I bet its cheaper than venison ! $40 a kilo now - wish i had a deer farm, lol.
  17. Its always best to introduce new fish with the lights out too - the new ones are less stressed and the existing ones are often a bit more placid.
  18. Thanks Alan it really will tie in nicely with my aquascaping plans .
  19. what size are they and what did they cost ?
  20. :bounce: :bounce: no one know where they do the actual rock ?
  21. you made that paint stretch nicely but yeah -- i agree that ply is probably the best option at the right price.
