it is possible that we are wrong I got this straight from eric- They come in from time to time, south american cichlid, scientific name is cichlasoma fenistartium. My spelling might be a bit rough. we actually invented the name strawberry blue to sell them as we bred thousands of them in a tank. Can anyone make this out? does he mean cichlasoma/vieja fenestrata? can somene with a big aquarium book check?

    Siamese tiger

I was up at WP a couple of days ago and saw the tigers, They are so tiny! i dont know about their survival at that size. my one has got quite solid over the last month, he would honestly have a bulk 100 times of the little ones. the thing with big tigers is that they turn into sacks! Just watch the ones in the WP display tanks, no movement.

mystery solved! wet pets had some in the tank on top of the africans with all the red devils in it now according to the guy I talked to. I wonder where they got them from? I also rang up Hollywood fish farm and asked him about a strawberry blue, which he had no idea about, so i told him they are strawberry blue in colour and appear to get a hump on their head, so he guessed the red head cichlid. I wonder who thought up 'strawberry blue'? Those ones in the display tank seemed to be always picking fights with the severums and chocolate cichlids. When I was up there a couple of days ago i witnessed another fight between the big red tail catfish and the big red devil. Cees, wet pets have a few species that no one else has- I love looking at eric's jardini, beautiful fish!

    sticking rocks

I pretty sure you cant use all purpose silicone as they say do not put below water line. The two I have are the selleys glass silicone, and selleys marine silicone. But they dont adhere to rocks! Just about the drill method- it is almost impossible! I consider the drill I have being quite large( 9.6v) and it only makes a dent!

I saw on the MAF website that we can import cuban cichlids. Has anyone actually seen them or are they another fish that is on the import list but never is imported.
  21. pegasus, I also got a reply from cotec who recommended an epoxy paint used to seal swimming pools. You can get a 3kg pack for $100, enough to paint 15 square metres.
