  1. 5k could have been the instant fine at border control?? :sml1:
  2. school holidays isn`t it?.recruite your local brat army, one jellybean for each live cricket?
  3. people stress too much about temps for their bd`s etc. They do get extremes at both ends of the scale in the wild and can cope.My adult pair for example are outdoors unheated and have been since october. They are both in excess of 10 years old now.All i do for them is cover them up on rainy nights.I will bring them in soon for the winter but the wetness is of more concern.
  4. you can get all the stuff you need to know via the net.The bearded dragon manual is also good,if you need something to hold onto.
  5. just as well aye ,iD you take heaps???
  6. so who`s paying for the lawyer?going to be pretty expensive for a dead beardy?
  7. one time i had a use for flies and we had heaps around outside that year which was lucky. They all used to sleep on the tar paper on the roof of the carport and garage. So i would wait till they got a bit dopey whenit cooled off and made a little mesh bag to fit inside the old vacum cleaner i use for the shed.Would just go around and suck them up as they slept and then take the bag full of flies and chuck them in the tank.Another method was to get a net and run through long grass catching whatever, also used a quad bike like this and got heaps of baby crickets and grasshoppers, just tipped them into a bucket and whacked the lid on quick.
  8. should be the dispatcher that is chasing them up IMO?you never got a live lizard delivered.
  9. was the heatpad secured or just in there?could have moved around and him?
  10. so did yours come from the same person?seems odd for one to have a heatpad and the other not?
  11. what does the seller say?if it was me I would feel responsible for not providing you with a live lizard ,where you live ,by the way?
  12. depends what it died of?could have been the way it was packed?
  13. http://www.uvguide.co.uk/phototherapyphosphor.htm have a read of this
  14. could be as simple as a dodgy UV light putting out too much UV.there have been reports of some that come from overseas with this very problem? it looks to be healing rather well ,apart from the back foot?
  15. could you try the argument if we can have eastern water dragons, why not jackson`s chameleons?
  16. apology not warranted anyhow?people that try and humanise their pets are dorks whatever way you look at it.I can understand it to a point with a cat or dog but a reptile that is in effect a living fossill ,been around for millions of years,no way just plain dumb!!
  17. do what?make your bt sit on the belly of a predator and get stressed to the max!thats what all responsible reptile owners do isn`t it?
  18. maybe not from your point of view, but what do you think he would say? don`t be surprised if go to look for him and you cannot seem to find him?
  19. gulp,i hope you find a home for him fast!
  20. interesting hybrid?how about putting a pic up for us all to see?tia.
  21. do what you want but just make sure your tank is big enough that they can escape the heat if they want to?This will in effect reduce the useable size of your tank and with the size of the lizards dehydration can happen fast.
  22. http://www.trademe.co.nz/pets-animals/birds/birds/other/auction-458603534.htm check these out joe.apart from being on the wrong side of the ditch??
