  1. My daughter went on a dive trip there at Christmas, and told me she was struck by the amount of dead coral, and most of the rest was brown.

Well you've certainly convinced me Layton, you've been Zeovits biggest supporter all along!! I just couldn't see it. And Hey Zeobuddy, Coral Vitalizer Rocks!!

Pointless thread? - Not at all. It contains humour and is a good laugh to read, and even better, we all agree that Zeovit Works!!! with Layton telling us that is what he has actually been trying to say all along!! So, to me, the thread represents a major advance Nobody really cares about argueing over word definitions such as evidence versus proof, so to me, it's case closed, all of us agree the stuff works, and the one guy who says he has a problem with HOW it works, also admits he does not even KNOW how it works   So - He can't really have a problem at all. - Surely!! Best zeovit thread so far in my book, ( although most of them have been BAD ), and now with the worlds foremost zeovit basher telling us he's been saying all along it works, and obvious interest from more and more people in the product Oh, and I am well aware other people have colourful acros, just knew Layton didn't, despite his fancy UV gizmo and whateva else have you
  6. Long as they are opening up again don't worry too much. After a few weeks they may adjust to the sudden light and stop doing it. However you could try reducing the light on them.

Not surprised it is possible, after all, that is how they appear in nature. But what I know is that you have a tank stacked with all the expensive fancy gadgetry that money can buy. I just have the most basic of tanks, a ghetto budget special, on top of which I am not very knowledgeable. However, with the help of zeovit I have been able to achieve some great natural coloured corals. As to the first part of your post, I'm not interested in playing around with words. I'm interested in results and zeovit has delivered for me. Oh, and a photo proves nothing? Yeah right!!!

Check my avatar. Your non zeo tank got anything like that? No? That's enough evidence to satisfy me.

Common unprovable sense? Farting against thunder.

Always suspected your zeovit theory had no proof. Farting against thunder?

Yes kinda funny isn't it Fay. I got it courtesy of Layton Just copy this & paste it into your post it will make the emoticon One thing you have to change on it, after where it says , at the beginning, insert http. So it will look http://www etc. And I do agree with Misnoma re these unsubstantiated hints we keep seeing.
  12. In general, marine crustaceans are fairly intolerant of salinity change. Although the river may appear to dump a lot of fresh water into the area, I'd be willing to bet that if you actually did a salinity check where the crays are, the difference would be almost imperceptable.
  13. Yesterday ( Monday) I had to go down south for the day, and the forecast was for hot & humid, decided to play safe & turned the halides off for the day. No harm done & I think it was good insurance.

So are you dismissing them and the results they bring, or not?

"If only you knew what you were pay for"? You are still trying to dismiss the great results people can get with the Zeovit range of products. IE - You are still trying to fart against thunder  You can't win
  17. They only go if it's too cold so turning them off when it's too hot makes no difference, unless they are turned up too high. If you need to cool the tank, a small fan pointing at the water surface will do it.
  18. I'm with Cracker & Alois on that also, there is a clear relationship between nutrient levels and color of sps. It is also beyond dispute that corals can be harmed by too low nutrient levels.

    what size

True, but I also have an aquamedic, (not to be confused with the aqua C), the needlewheel one, which performs well.

Well it's good to see that after all the zeovit bashing of the past, many are finding the zeovit range includes some very good products!

I really like that aquascaping! Think I finally know what i want for my new tank
  23. Cool. That's about the last piece of major equipment you need so you're now totally set up! BTW that Goniopora you gave me is looking OK, still hanging in. And the sps frag is showing a few polyps . Couldn't get that CD to work yet but I'll try it in my sons computer when he get's off it or it isn't downloading.
  24. 50%, apprentice reef chemist. Oh well, some of those questions I had no idea :-?
