    Loaches

I know, thats why I haven't tried yet. This is the heavily planted L shaped tank - I can't even reach into the back corner and I don't want to destroy the tank. Don't be surprised if it finally dies of old age, still in the same tank

    Loaches

No, I'm not certain at all, thats why I was a bit worried. However they seem quite happy again today so whatever it was, mating or fighting, they seem to have gotten over it    I'm thinking I should have taken the opportunity to catch the yoyo while his mind was on other things - I want him in a different tank Cheers Jude

    Loaches

My YoYo and Queen loaches were seriously trying to breed last night. They both changed colour completely and 'indulged' in mating behaviour for at least half an hour until I turned out the lights. I was concerned that one might hurt the other because I know nothing about their mating habits - and also because they are different species which I guess makes breeding highly unlikely. I turned the lights on again later to check they were OK and they were both back to normal colour and swimming around fine. Do different loaches like this every interbreed? Do botia loaches breed in captivity? Just wondering Cheers Jude

Hi, my name is Jude and I am NOT suffering from MTS. I DON'T have too many tanks and I am NOT seriously considering another one.   Jude (with fingers crossed behind her back again)
  10. LOL to Ira and Misnoma - now all I need is Wok suggesting (again) that I turn the whole room into a tank. And what about the next leak? and the next? The whole roof needs redoing. Cheers Jude
  11. But, but, but, but ............................. Caryl you are the one who just finished telling me I should use my money to get the roof fixed before I buy new tanks!!!!!!!!!!!! One rule for me and one for others huh?    Jude

  13. Welcome Jzer - how convenient having a fishclub so close - lucky you Hope you enjoy the site, I've had heaps of help here Cheers Jude
  14. I visited Billaney and Adele last night and was just blown away. He has soooo many tanks, all sparkling clean and full of fish and babies. The tanks with adult fish are all beautifully decorated and very attractive. The tanks have spread all over the house now - upstairs, downstairs, and the garage. Just when we thought we had seen all of them we were invited into his daughter's room to see her tank - another lovely tank full of gorgeous angelfish. She denies having caught the bug but she's already bred some bristlenoses!!!!!!!!!!! Adele's cichlid tank is stunning, its nearly fully cycled and she has some beautiful fish just waiting to go in there. Its in a great spot, with a comfy armchair nearby so she can relax and watch the fish. I can't wait to see it once its been established for a while. Thanks for letting us see them Billaney, it was a real treat Cheers Jude
  15. I agree, its an amazing offer and the generosity is heartwarming. Congrats to the person who was so generous and to Mitch for sharing it with us Cheers Jude

  17. Hi Jane I am happy to keep sending you the minutes - unfortunately I couldn't be at the last meeting so unless someone else took them, there are no minutes. I know Steve and Jody are investigating other sites and are working hard on it so I am sure they will have something up and running soon. In the meantime, please stay on. As Shae said, the meetings can be held in the same place as the FNZAS chatroom Cheers Jude
