Bubbles do you run carbon, I think that helps to remove toxins. Where do you get your top up water from? And what are your tank tests like e.g. salinty,nitrate,phospate etc

Thanks for that reef yea if I open the tap it doesn't work as well, next question then can I put another motor and pinwheel on the AP850 to give it more guts. Don't know what a pin wheel even is :lol:

Can't remember if you said you run phosphate remover in a fluidiser but that is the way to go I have found, but you can't do that while running zeovit I believe.

JDM what do you keep your kh readings at I have read that if your nitrates are high keep your kh up around 12, I have been doing this for months now. I have to dose baking soda every second day reef and cracker think I have my calium to high at 500 or just under so am letting it drop to at least 450.

Looks very very good to me maybe just chill like me, you have nice colour no algae I have seen tanks that have nil readings but don't look as nice our have colour like you.

Tank is due for a water change but the weather is bad so thought I would see what the tank water p04 and p03 was 30 and 0.1 Been feeding to much again can't stand that big tang looking at me as if he is starving :lol: Hope I can do a water change soon and cut back on the feeding again better change that phosphate media : :roll: Think I am being kind but bad girl really :-?

he he talk about panic just had a power cut the weather sucks out here we have got big white caps on the river and spray going everywhere oh and not to mention a seal on the side of the road this morning he probably thought bugger this and got out of the water and in all this we have a helicopter up at the school camp giving the school kids rides they must be MAD!!

Oh dear I have made a refugium in my sump out of a big plastic bin and I run the over flow pipes into little plastic peg crate boxes and all the piping to and from the tank is the blue reinforced supposed to be non toxic water pipe and I store my DI water in 25ltr white water barrels LAYTON???????????? what about the egg crate people use under their rock? I haven't got this.

JDM how much do you feed and what skimmer do you have what are your phosphate readings?

wouldn't mind one of those UV thingies but will have to wait till next year.

Can't remember it was a few years ago now. I don't have phosphates anymore I run a fluidiser. Nitrates running at 15 steady not worried about it anymore things look great.
