Geo's are growing well, only issue seems to be they are under mining all the rock and drift wood with all their digging.

I got them from HFF Mt Albert. I hadn't seen any for a long time either but they seem to have a few at the moment, I also asked at New Pupuke he doesn't stock them in the shop but can get them in.

Update video, you can really see from the first filling vid how much tannin in the water.

Filling the tank. some extra rocks to hold down the floating driftwood.

Painted the back corners of the tank today.

Just normal play sand, that I had to wash a lot.

Scape done now just waiting for water. Still 5 more days.

Thanks 1000x800x600mm around 480ltrs. On another note you have Geophagus correct? How many would you rocommend to put in this tank as it is currently set up only thing I will be adding is a sand substrate. I was thinking 5-6 and some small plecos to fill the gaps, I know they can get to 30cm so I would remove some of the driftwood as they grow.

Stand finished, need to paint it black and make up some black curtains for the front to hide what's underneath.

I was thinking 5-6 species only tank. Maybe have some small plecos in there as well.

Hi, I am currently getting a new tank made up 1000x800x600mm around 480ltrs. I was thinking about stocking ideas and Geophagus Surinamensis came up. I really like the look of these fish and was wondering how many I could comfortably have in this tank? It will be aquascaped with a sand substrate, drift wood and a few rocks. image off the net.

Was a bit disappointed. Not that the song is bad just felt it wasn't really deserving of number one.

Looks Amazing :thup: Definitely like the second effort with the background, the driftwood fits perfectly. That filtration will only need to be cleaned out every couple of years :bggrn:
