  6. maybe give telecom a ring they can set it up in a way so people ring the number and the donation gets charged to the home phone account.
  7. What a relief for you both. 4 weeks isn't long but boy alot can happen in 4 weeks. Now just need to find a way to get problem solved permanently. What can we all do to help? Is there someone we can all hasslewith emails to get things speeded up or what? There's got to be something we can all do as well as donate. If everyone on the forum donated $10 that would really help out I'm sure.
  8. I watched campbell live last night also, what a awsome place you have. Wishing you all the best for today really hope and pray something gets sorted in time. Sending you all my prayers and thoughts

    cichlids

I've put a couple powerheads in the sump to keep the water moving. There is also a heater in there. No way filter media can dry out there is 100 litres of water in there.

    cichlids

I've had to turn my sump off to do a minor repair to a pipe that was leaking have siliconed it back together. I'm supposed to leave to dry for twelve hours. Can I just leave the cichlids with a bubble wall going and couple air stones and heater overnight. Tank is 4ft by 2ft x 2ft.
  16. okay so now my blue gardneri has vanished thinking decided to go for his second jump thru the 1mm gap the cat was asleep on the floor under the tank this morning. Been pacing up and down under that tank all day. Any bright ideas of what I can do to stop this. The gap is 1cm max wide by 6cm long its right in front of the hangon filter where the water comes in over the overflow into the tank.. Its the only place I can see that they could possibly jump out. I don't want to loose any more.
  17. Found my albino gardneri on the floor yesterday couldn't figure out how he jumped out as the tank has lids. Anyways put back in was ok Then this morning found him on the floor again unfortunately this time dead I can't for the life of me figure out how he got out. The tank has lids and the only gap is at the most 1cm wide and 6cm long, this is in front of the hang on filter. Is this big enough for them to jump out?
  18. Thanks Barrie but all looking good so far still swimming round and eating. Must be very hardy fish
  19. Doing a water change so lid was off went to get the water to tip in tank, came back to find the cat about to pounce on my blue garneri who had decided to take a flying leap. Picked him up put back in the tank floated sideways then righted himself swam to the top thought was a gonner but this morning swimming round eating seems fine  cat not happy stilling looking round the floor for his supper
  20. Yes The word Killi is from the Dutch language and simply means water source or stream.
