  1. Here you go Mystic, i will get you a full tank shot in a few days time when i'm not so busy, lol, this shot is a few months old and the fish are bigger now there are also 4 hiding,
  2. They are not very aggressive as cichlids go, and would make a nice addition in any suitable tank that dosn't have aggressive fish , or fish small enough to fit in their mouths. The severums max out at around 8-9"
  3. My sailfin plec bit off more than it could chew at chow time but as you cah see it managed to eat the cichlid pellet and make a full recovery,

  12. DEVON, here is a recipe that i got from my friend, she feeds it to her Disdus but recommends it for all fish, Feed it twice a week as a treat, it also helps condition your fish if you plan to breed them. 3lb of beefheart well trimmed , (remove all fat) 1pkt of prawns about 4ounce 6 small carrots, grated. 4 cloves of garlic baby leaf spinich 4 egg youlks tetra prima about 100grams two salmon steaks fresh about 1lb 2pkts of gelatine disolve in 1/2 cup of hot water everything finely minced in blender then add the gelatine put into plastic bags and roll out then freeze.

  14. Thats a great setup shiuh, very impressive.
  15. A lot of folk are using turkey heart now instead, it is a lot leaner and supposed to be better for your fish, havn't tried it yet myself, but i intend to. BTW,, has anyone got a good beefheart recipe that they would like to share?
  16. As they mature RTBS will chase anything in the tank, but convicts should be more than able to hold their own. Just a pity RTBS are such a pain as they are beautiful fish.
  17. Hi, I was just wondering what you guys thought of my African setup.? I have kept cichlids for years but never malawis. My new African setup. Full tank shot. A close up shot. A few of the occupants. This is my first attempt at an african tank, I hope you guys like,
  18. My Haplochromis, Males like the one in the pic, max out at 5/6" females 4/5" The true name of the fish is Astatotilapia Latifasciata, but it is mostly sold in LFS as Haplochromis, and is commonly referred to as "Zebra Obliquidens." This Victorian Hap is very common in the hobby, which is fortunate because it is now presumed extinct in the wild.
