  1. I got a phone call from a friend who asked me if i could come around and identify some fry for her. She found some tiny fry inside the filter when she went to clean it, rescued them and put them in a breeder net. She says that there had been a lot of. eggs stuck to the side of the tank a few days previous. The fish that she had in her 75g community tank were... 2 x common pl*co's, (i know) 6 x tiger barbs, 10 x neon tetras 4 x Buenos Aires tetra. 4 x glow light tetras 6 X Corydoras 4 x mollies Here's a couple of pics of the fry below, see what you think they might be. i'm guessing pl*co's BTW... The fry range in size from 1-3 cms
  2. As to what special precautions/care you guys take after you have bought fish from your lfs and are preparing to make the journey home, and what you do with the fish when you have reached your destination? thanks in advance for any feedback.

  5. Hope this one dosn't die early Caryl, iv'e become quite attached to it.
  6. Yes the fish was dyed blue, but it lost the blue colour after about 8-9mths and as you can see it is now back to it's original colour, which in my opinion looks a hell of a lot better anyway,
  7. Do's this make a difference Alan?
  8. I Rescued this BP 2 years ago, it was dyed blue, it was about 2" long and in a tank with several large cichlids that were beating up on it, I felt sorry for it and bought it, now i'm glad, it has turned out to be a real character. As you can see, it likes to keep an eye on things from it's ceramic jug.
  9. Poor things, I don't think that they have a great chance of surviving, little to none in fact. still nature throws these things at us and we just have to deal with it the best we can. sorry about your fry kribkrazy.
  10. Looks like you may have 2 fish joined togather in the one yolk sac, kinda like siamese twins, you won't really be able to tell untill the yolk sac is gone.
