  1. i research this and after a week of cleaning and scrub they are back.. a bit. destroys my plants. sorry gor the blurry image. cleaning tank. doing a 50% water change just to make sure do we have siamese algae eater or something that can help me get rid of them

  3. shrimp shrimp. i know its been posted before.. but can someone give me exact locations i can get my hands on some freshwater shrimps? thanks
  4. i forgot about the brand.. i didnt put any peat just some gravel on top of the aquatic mix.. the bunnings i went to is in mount wellington. its not in the plants outside but its along with the fertilizers.. the guys there didnt know what i was looking for.. amazon swords now growing quite well after 5 months..

  6. just get oscars. cheap and grows big. they eat adult guppies alive.

  8. pretty sure not saltwater, i was buying my first tank and i didnt know yet that shrimps were not allowed in nz.. i just thought they were expensive.. i pretty sure now that they were the red cherry shrimps with small white dots... i know coz my girl told me they looked nice being polka dotted. they only had 2 as well..
  9. hi guys, did this shrimp exploration go through? can i tag along? been looking for freshwater shrimps... i swear i saw some red cherry ones in a LFS i just cant remember where.. i even remember they were priced astronomically at 200-300 a pop. :bounce:
  10. go to bunnings, they have an aquatic mix there for $12 for i think 10kg? forgot but i got to use it in 2-3 tanks of mine.. which is a big saving compared to the flourite bag from the LFS,.. no problems so far...

  12. a strong fixed line would be good.. e.g. long dorsal fins.. or ribbon.. but yes i am refering to guppies with a solid colour body and tail. one colour.. thank you....
  13. that's a long dorsal fin,, i wonder if anyone has ribbon type guppies as well, :nfs: finally made an account here after reading for awhile.. i'm interested in breeding pure colour strains.. do you guys know where i can get my hands on some... thanks
