  1. Ok so I have an exo terra viv for my Golden bell's. I set it up using Hydroton as the base which is being held together to form an island with weed mat, on top of this is a layer of coco coir then Sphagnum on top. My issue is that the substrate is slowly sliding into the water (I want an "L" shaped area of water). My dilemma is that I now need to pull it apart and re do it, I want to have natural looking banks not mini cliffs that would not be produced if I use a rigid product to contain the Hydroton. So my questions are: 1) How do I contain the Hydroton to create my land area. 2)How do I make natural looking banks. I'm slowly making myself nuts by reading and re reading forums for ideas.
  2. WHAT? how did you go about that? I have only seen one this season but couldnt catch it, I'm sure my frogs would appreciate any tips you had to lure them in.
  3. Cant really go wrong with any of the Canon EOS DSLR's- The 60d is a fantastic camera but there are a couple cheaper 600d and 650d come to mind. If you really want to go all out get the 5d mkII but it is likely to break the bank. The Nikon DSLR's are great also, no experience with these so not sure of models sorry. If you can afford to look at getting a better quality lens as its all about the glass. What will you be using it for primarily or what type of photography would you like to get into? Might be able to help you narrow it down...
  4. Caught about twenty of these in my trap today and they were all eaten within a few minutes.
  5. I'd be interested in having a look also.
  6. so no pictures or no Lavender Leopard Geckos?
  7. Neither would mine. That's pretty much it though. :digH: Can I also say: "Fish keeping gets me wet" :sml1: :slfg: :rotf: :sml2: :happy1:
  8. I found some great deals this afternoon from a kiwi company so were sorted well the electronics anyway.
  9. Yes equipment Basically need all electrical and some bowls, just thinking that if I do a large online order I could save a couple of dollars - not that prices here are too bad.
  10. can anyone give me any recommendations to overseas stores that will ship to NZ?
  11. The price difference between the bulbs is not much so 105cm it is. Not sure what the difference will be on my power bill however.
