  3. Hi I'm getting some moss tonight and want to make a ball out of it. Any ideas? I was thinking of something like a round rugged rock and attach moss to it. And I Aldo want to make a carpet out of it. Same thing any ideas? I have seen heaps or people want java moss to float. And twas thinkig if you attached it to a piece if pumice it would float. Oh well just looking for neat ideas on things to do with java moss. Thanks
  4. In my head the tank works out to be 360L- the thickness of the glass.
  5. Ah I've seen that! I wonder how (s)he does it ? :3
  6. Man that's a pity! They actually look really nice! Getting some java moss off tm just waiting for her to respond!
  7. Maybe it's a better idea to quarantine the guppies and treat them In their own tank. The problems not going to get fixed if the shark is still in there.
  8. Very true. My turtle eats moss though... It's insane. Better start loOking for some moss I guess will have a look in pet shop in porirua tomorrow. Going in with a mate
  9. I think Marimo is a type of algae? Wouldn't moss die if you rolled it up into a tight ball?
  10. pity they look nice plus on a turtle forum based in the USA thy say turtles love to rip them apart
  11. Hi I was wondering if we have Marimo or Moss balls in NZ? And if so where can you get it? Thanks
  12. There's you're reason. It's because you've most likely killed your bacteria in the filter resulting in cloudy water.
  13. Cycling takes a few weeks. Search nitrification cycle on google.
  14. Hey Thanks for that people! I have found a nice case called the switcheasy canvas. I think I may go for a black iPad in the end the case comes in black(and not white) and hopefully will suit very well. But there's still no promises that anyone will have them in stock. Does anyone go to hong kong/Beijing/Xiang/shanghai frequently? And do they know any good apple stores over there? I know they are staying at Tsim sha tsu? In HK. Any apple places are much appreciated as they are getting my sister a MacBook as well Thanks
  15. Hmm have you added anything to the tank lately? And how long has the tank been set up?
  16. I think they were talking about the leopard geckos using toilet paper.
  17. Ahh true. i might just get one. and get my parents to open it while over there. Gah after seeing reviews of the smart cover I dont want one now! Does anyone have a good case to suggest? Thanks
  18. Hmm very true. Im only 15 so can you tell me more about the taxes? If you bring it back for personal uses do you have to pay taxes? If so i wont get them to bring back two
  19. Yeah Every iPad 2 ive seen on TM is way over priced. Im torn wether to get a black one to suit my iPhone or white because its more apple like Yeah in HK they are something like $4688HKD which turns out to be like $730 NZD saving $220. So if i bought one for me and one to sell i'd get a discount of $440  Oh yeah and what colour smartcover? If I got a black iPad id get a black leather smartcover, But if I went white iPad i'd probally go with a polyurethane one. Most likely blue or green. Any opinions or preferences?
  20. Hmm yeah it seems pretty cool though. I do a lot of travelling though and watch lots of movies. I guess thats one plus of the iPad. The parents are going to honk kong on monday, and iPad 2s over there are $200 cheaper(might get them to bring me back 2? and sell one on trademe for $949)! I gotta love the exchange rate at the moment! I think I may get it though. I have my plan set out... Every 2 years upgrade the apple product. I've got a 3 year warranty on my iPhone 4 so will wait for the iPhone 6 to come out... Well we will see Black or white iPad?
  21. 250L+ will last a red eared slider for 4/5 years if there's only one turtle. A bigger footprint is more important than height. Ie width x length is a foot print
  22. I know turtle should be about $500 that includes a large tank heater basking area UVB light substrate some ornaments and the turtle.
  23. Yep the waters warm he has a 1/2 log which he can hide in and the waters not too deep. Must be shy
  24. I guess it can swim? It eats floating pellets and must be able to get them somehow... Just whenever I see him he cowards to the back of the tank and sits on the bottom.
