  1. Did you make much back on her fry??
  2. I don't know if its rude to ask, but what was it??
  3. Sorry....sand is much nicer anyways...I have some nice white sand in mine which really makes them stand out. Good luck with redoing your tank.
  4. They are known to even eat huge stones that people think won't fit....I wouldn't risk it.
  5. Haha, tank water too, I'm sure that junk must be good for you....and the water tastes nice anyway...
  6. Just out of interest, what is his trade-me username?
  7. I am interested to know I might pop in there tomorrow on my way out also!
  8. Hi I think I saw the shop you mean today - I couldn't go in but there wasn't a fish store there before... Thanks Danni
  9. Haha, that sounds great! I remember being able to get tadpoles in the pond at the farm opposite our place when I was younger (just 4-5 years ago probably) but they are gone now
  10. No. I would but due to the fact frogs in wild are becoming scarcer and I have no tadpoles, I have not. I feed them sinking trout pellets, earthworms (they looove these), slugs and the occassional flying insect/moth that I come across. This seems to work great (and trout pellets are damn cheap)...
  11. There is a paper "somewhere" that talks about axolotls growing differently if they are allowed to eat one another. Also I have watched them eat and agree it is very cool.
  12. Hi They do look similar to those!!! Thanks... (I would have had no idea what to even start searching for) Haha, I have loads you are welcome to some I was not sure whether they are harmful or whether I should have them in my tank? I have now read a couple of articles on them and it doesn't say whether they would be harmful to fish axolotl's but I guess since they are not parasitic they won't be harmful? Also, anyone have any ideas how they may have got there?
