  1. I guess so, still ragged from when the swords (now gone) picked on them. I thought they would have healed their fins by now (been like >2 months). Current isn't anything near strong
  2. Most of them, usually not all at once. Water parameters are good.
  3. For a while now I've noticed my angels lying on the bottom of the tank, almost bending slightly.. Was wondering if anyone could maybe tell me why they do this/if it's bad, etc. (was like they were sleeping, but happens all through the day, and they do get plenty of "night time" for sleeping!) And also a lot of the time they will sit at the bottom of the tank, but upright. Just asking because I've never seen angels do this in any aquariums I've seen
  4. "The specimen in the photos is around 15" long" Oh geez, lmao. Thanks guys
  5. Got this guy at the LFS today, thought he looked pretty nifty.. Sorry for the bad picture, he's hard to catch on camera .. Could anyone give me some more information on what you might think he is? I know he's a pleco... of some sort.. I think >.> <.< Anything specific would be appreciated !
  6. I tried that, eel ignored it Not sure if mine was sick or mistreated or what, but he didn't really eat anything I offered and I offered a lot of different food including tiger worms, flakes (person I bought it from said that's what they fed it), cichlid pellets . . . Today when i went to my LFS the lady there suggested blood worms and that was the only thing I didn't try.. But if you've already tried feeding them blood worms unsuccessfully then the food probably isn't the problem
  7. Thanks for your answer, unfortunately I woke up this morning to find a certain eel dead in my tank : (
  8. Good point... 2 Electric yellow cichlids, and 2 white (I *think* they are albino) cichlids which look nearly exactly the same- minus the colouring.
  9. Okay, thanks! Also one more question, would he be OK in a tank with 4 Cichlids? Or would they bite at him and generally give him a rough time?
  10. alright cheers, it's supposedly nocturnal so should i be feeding it at night when i go to bed? so it's dark when i feed it? He seems to hide in the gravel most of the daytime.
  11. I was going to make this exact thread until I saw it was already made I got a half-banded spiny eel day before yesterday and the lady i bought it from said she only fed it fish flakes, it is OK to continue doing this or do i need to get worms, etc?
  12. Yeah had a problem with 2 in a 90L tank attacking fellow fish. Had to remove everything from the tank to catch them, lmao. I've heard they do grow more aggressive as they get bigger and would advise replacing them with something a bit more useful and friendly! (albino cats!!)
  13. It'll probably just kill all your vampire fish
  14. Thinking about getting a tank made and wondering if it needs to be made of safety glass? Cheers!
  15. So far two have died, some fish are also looking swollen (could be pregnant). Advice would be greatly appreciated
  16. You can probably get treatments for algae at your local fish store if it's that bad a problem. As far as I know there are blocks (look a bit like chocolate, but white), or bottles with chemicals and stuff. I'm no expert, just passing on what I was told at my local fish store.
