mine have no black dots just white loking disks

on closer inspection i can see a white thing inside the clearish egg babys maybe? they dont have any fungus on them at this stage

Hay guys my pepper catfish in my puffer tank spawned last night, I managed to get about 8 eggs and put them in a breeder in my main tank. I was just wondering some have turned a opaque white they arnt fuzzy but just white is that a good or bad thing?

you just dont want the level of co2 to build up to high to kill the fish. I have co2 and air in my tank the fish are happy and so are the plants

The co2 will just drop the ph if you run a air pump it should help keep the co2 levels in check so fish can live in there, the amount you mix doesnt really have a effect it just alters how long it all lasts

My discus did that once and it was a lock of o2 as my pump failed and my co2 level was to high I just put a airstone in and he came right needless to say I run air in all my tanks

I had otto cats with mine the algea eaters can spook the puffers as they move too quick

I dont know why everyone is soo worried about the red eye puffers i have 7 males in my AR620 with plenty of hiding spots and they arnt agressive at all not like they chase each other around nipping at fins the just stick to their own spots and feed as a group at feeding time. So I think the agression part comes in with addition of females, as with any fish

I have some red eye puffers that will be happy as im your tank everyone says they are agressive but they arnt as long as you have plenty of hiding spots, my ones are about as agressive as rams

I have 7 red eye males in my ar620 and they are fine with each other im selling 3 if your keen

Both my girls are pregnant now so it will be interstiing to see what the offspring are like

wow cool thanks for the info I have a spawning mop in the tank and also a cave made of stones and thats it I want to see if I can breed some really cool looking fish :bounce:

well both females in that tank have never been pregnant so the little guy isnt doing his job to well
