  3. welcome , just dont let MTS set in to fast ok  :slfg:
  4. thats good to hear, hope my sererums do the sam thing fingers crossed, but anyway good on you and pics please  :nfs:
  5. yes that is correct, and when they are big enough to eat brime shrimp you can do water changes every day but only do 10-15 %, this will improve there growth
  6. i think they 70w would be better because it would give a better spread and be just as strong at the ends of the tank, but the 150w would be just as good imo , so each to there own
  7. do you no not to leave the parents in with them to long as they will get annoyed as the babies eat the slim coat (discus milk) so when they are big enough to eat brime shrimp remove the parents, try to feed them atleast 3 times a day if possible, this is important for them to get out of the "danger zone"
  8. yes it is normals, you might even see the parents taking turns are feeding them, the do get ride of them because after a while it will annoy them, like most kid do to their parents
  9. i would put chlorine remover in the bucket with the new water, mix it round the add it
  10. thats what i do, and for extra safety, mya stocking over the end of the siphon, that way you dont suck any up
  11. yeash they do have character, usually in the shop they are scared, but when they settle in they develop quite characters
  12. thats the secret to breeding cories, bristlenose, and plecos  8)
  13. Hahahahah, thats exactly what my mum said :rotf:
  14. yeah, i agree around 3-5 days depending on temp, also yeas the parents do get a bit annoyed when the fry wont go to bed hahaha
  15. agreed , but unless its a huge spawn, one parent can look after a spawn successfully
  16. i usually just left the water changes till they were free swimming, then i would take water from the surface from the opposite side of the tank they were on, i think you could just take water from the compartment thats seperated off cause it wont upset the parents that way, also only do small water changes as the babies wont like it if something changes suddenly, so id say 10-15% at most every 3-4 days , and keep up the good work
  17. congrates, but just a warning, when they start to become free swimming they might cross the egg crate to mum, and if she starts eating them you will have to remove them, also i find when they are free swimming i keep a night light on at night to give a dim light over the tank so the fry can always see the dad and the dad can always see them and they dont get lost
  18. lucky i told you about the lights ae, otherwise it could have wasted some $$$$ , and it would have been longer till it was setup
  19. how much light do you have on that tank?, cause it doesnt look like you have enough for corals
  20. i always liked the black clowns, maybe a pair of them?
