HEat pump would be more hassle free..after all we live in the modern world now..if you can afford it you got to have it!(my view) with fire place..boy they do get hot, they will get very hot and the only place to cool down your visitor out is see them standing out side of the house in the cold weather :slfg:

In the past 4 months I have been try out this WC method: Garden hose in" by input clean water in and syphon waster water out at the other end.. To me auto Wc isnt a good method, because you will discharge clean water at the same time..money down the drain x2.. also its take me longer to work on my tank..i suppose it only good when water temp doesnt spike so quick.. I only try this because it less hassle for me to shut off the sump pump// Has any one ever try setting up a WC system like Toilet Cristern System"? one flush could drain out 30-50% of tank water... :thup: I am very interested in setting one up in my next monster tank project.. :digH:

At current iam still running my sump system, this pond filter things would be a additional.. My tank are heavy stock as well so uv would be super dupper help.. was thinking uv filter would be a anitiboitic for my fish.. or maybe it me who need to be on anitiboitic hehehe :digH:

Hey guys, Iam planning to beef up my filteration in my community tank.. I was juggling wheather to go for the FX5 or the uv pond filter.. So i brought the pond filter to try it out.. I am thinking with pond filter they come with uv treatment + filteration, as to the FX5 its can only filter.. Has some1 here used a pond filter before, or what do you think?

As for a new tank I normally top up the new tank with 50%-80% of old water from existing tank, even with new filter pumps there are should be plenty of good bacteria in the old water introduce. :smln:

Concrete back wall & side wall, as to tank base are tile floor" Filteration would not be a big issues, but might having trouble with heating tank.. Pleco dont normally eat algae..they pooh alot and suck on dead fish.. I think you are looking for Bristlenose cat fish" they only grow out at small size.. You also have a adult Jag..if you are getting some bristlenose, get a adult size bristlenose.. the pleco you got is no good for cleaning algae Ur water looked ok..try reduce tank light..or have good water flow"

I am not trying to seek for attention, but with the purchased of the plants i was trying to infrom others members who did purchased to be careful.. there is not need to hide, as i didnt have it in my tank..and my fish was not distroy. Think and say what ever you wanted to, To me is a extinct plant and if i wanted to have it i will take it, no matter what it will cause me!

"on the button.., if some1 out there selling tropical ray without maf approved, i would bet all my money on that there will be one or 2 tempted to have it in their tank.. Any way all my beauty was not harm from Maf. :smln:
