Yes, the very same one. The only thing that stopped her dying was the layer of fat around her organs. If she wasn't morbidly obese, she would have died

I know it sounds mean but my cat has had a carpet fish, I gave it to her. It makes more sense than burying it.

That super sucks dude. My cat loves drinking from the tanks, I could never imagine her catching and eating fish though. She is however a DLH and cannot hunt :lol:

I used to feed my PK boy with only freeze dried bloodworms once daily, perhaps a day or two without food a week. Made him jump for them though and didn't let him get fat. No longer feed as he is part of a community now.

I've found that as long as the substrate is 1" or deeper stems tend to stay in place, 2" is better though. Plants grow better without weights attached.

Maybe he's getting used to his new tank? My fancy fighters used to always just sit on leaves and such. PKs not so much but they still chill sometimes.

He's alright No! Never think like that! Too many times lonely fighters have been put with other fish because they're lonely. They're not :lol:

Fighting fish are like many fish these days. They come in all different shapes and sizes, depending on the shape and/or size they can be very different. A plakat should have a better chance than a fancy in a more aggressive tank. The more you line/inbreed fish the more weak they tend to be. Again, it all depends on the individual fish, each seem to have their own personalities so you should be able to see if they can hold their own or not. HTH
