just to add my 5c wearth i have a 160 ltr tank with comunity fish i also have 2 bristlenose in my experance they make a little diffrence to window algae but not so much to the algae on rocks wood ect i also have 2 panda loaches and 3 clown loaches they help with the cleaning of the tank also they do a good job at cleaning up leftover food ect hope this helps

i want to build a 8 foot tank 2400x700x700 out of 12mm glass what things will i need to do spec wise to make this work ie: am i useing the rite thickness glass how much bracing will i need ect it will be sitting on sinder blocks with a 18mm mdf cover over the sinder blocks with a 20mm piece of polystirean on top of the mdf do i need to do anything else ??? please give all feedback you can to this i know its a big tank i just want to do something diffrent and something big thanks guys and girls

140ish L and about 35 fish as for the water changes i just like doing them lots

anyone please help identify weid spots on fish it is the orange platty look carefully and you can see white patches on fish

can i buy some off you please i got plattys guppies and mollys about to drop the babys and i have 2 angel fish that like to eat them been looking for some pm me if you have some left you want to sell

sorry for being blonde but is a cf 1200 a ex filter if so it shows fry can survive being suked up i was doing some reading up and the book i was reading was telling me to be careful of where i put inlet for filter because of this and for me to well plant opersite side of tank to give fry good place to hide away from inlet . thanks

just for the record i wanna put my 5 cents worth in im new here too everyones been so helpful to me towards my set up and the questions i have asked. the way i see it any additional information that is offered by anyone with more experience then me which is 99.9 per cent of people on here should be grasped with both hands not thrown back in there faces. I don't mean any offence by this reply just think a little bit more respect and thanks is needed to the people trying to help you. sounds like this to me but on a larger scale like walk into a dark shop some where and pay no gst only mates rates cash only and no sign of a cctv
