Hi all im back after a few years out of the game with a new project.I have invested in a Juwel 450L bowfront and would love to give marine fish keeping a go. I admittedly don't know a lot but would love to learn as i go so any help would be appreciated.as it stands i have the juwel 450l tank,stand,Bioflow 3.0 filter system and heater,30kg of coral rock, 30kg of coral sand,JUWEL High-Lite T5 lighting system with x4 bulbs,Aqua one protein skimmer g224. what else do i need to start off ? pictures of progress are to come .

This is a long term project and im in no rush to fill it all at once and i dont have enormous amounts of funds so it will start by having a few small tanks maybe 3 just the ones i own at present and the new tank that is being constructed i want to do this once and do it right so alot of thinking will be done before i jump in and do it.

I have just been out to shed were fish room will be built and measured out size on floor and cleared space.The measurements will be as follows 3600L 2600W 2280H It will be constructed out of freezer panel with door halfway down the length i will have to go with carpet straight on the concrete as if i make the floor freezer panel the chance of it not holding up to the weight of tanks inside is highly likely . if you have any ideas on this project feel free to share Pictures are to come

hi all i just put a large peice of wood from wet pets palmerston north in my new tank the water has gone rather yellow is there a way to stop this it douse look nice with the theme ive chosen for this tank i just dnt want the fish to be harmed by it any help of suggestions would be welcomed

i was told you can use normal pond coditioner in a tropical tank is this ok to do as its a little cheaper than aqua plus

all good but as i have said its been like that for 6-7 months hasn't got any worse sandyme has seen her when i got her

i brought this from wet pets 6-7 months ago i question them at wet pets about it and they said that is how they come they sell them there now
