hey chrismack i am using a jebo 809 in my 725 litre tank and i am very happy with it,works well,they come with media and all i have done is add more media,9 litre capacty filter bucket and it has been going great. well recomended to use and the price for them at the moment will not last.

some betta males are lazy like my one is and he only builds his nest as he is about to mate,and it can take awhile as well,my male likes to have dense floating plants around his nest,so let the female roam in the tank as well and keep an eye on them. you don't want a power filer but instead use a sponge filter for the fry they are very small, also do you have lids on tank as the humidity helps with the process and also helps the nest stay together

yes pies my one has been designed to go into a corner but as i can use it where it is i get a far better area to veiw lol

hi pappy whack just a tought but where do you take your sample water from in your tank? do you take it from the top of the tank or the bottom? if your taking it from the top please try taking it from the bottom and try again as lots of people take it from the top of the water and make that mistake even myself have been caught by that mistake lol as to the reading well not sure but it sounds like it may be fine hope this helps alittle

the red spots are various sizes from really small one med size and the large one around a foot or so long lol

ok i have in there a pair of siamese fighters, lots of bristle nose cats,synodontis cats x 5,red spot pleco's x 5 from small to large,platy's a few pairs, guppys what survived lol,pair of keyhole's ,clown loaches x4 and a couple of banded loach's and a very large silver shark and the odd platy fry will take some pics of the fish when able to and post them on the site

yehar i have my 725 L tank fixed,set up and going well and man it big and the fish love it lots by the looks of it lol i 8)

why not y join the two pumps so that they run with each other that way you have one inlet and one outlet and if a pump fails the other will still be running and then the only risk is a possible blockage on the inlet to the pumps

conf t pop into welly airport and check out there reef,head to gates 17 to 19 and its on the left as you go to those gates, as i think thats what your intending to do ,they have crays an octopus etc,see if you can get a look at there set up as it may help alot

cheap lighting you may want to look at your local hydroponics store for good lights and plenty of different spectrons in metal halide and son t's for just a couple of examples,have a nosey at www.sog.co.nz just a thought for you guys????

well the female siamese died with two others and a male but the good news is that before she died she had spwarned with my other male and the eggs i took and placed in very small tank(cats tank,thanks kathy for the loan of it,will return one day)with meth blue and sponge filter,a couple of very small plants and a couple of snails that hitch hiked in,lol they are over three weeks old now all 15 or so that hatched are growing well,they are all at various sizes form tiny to ones thats quite a bit bigger than the others,five times bigger than the smallest,must be the piggy huh, any way,with a bit of luck a good thing will come out of a bad one. cool as watch the grow. sorry just saw that there had not been any thing in here for awhile so felt like telling the world lol

hey bikie girl i'd get some Melafix or fuvan 2 in there as fast as if i was you before you lose any more i used it in my tank and have not lost any more fish yet and managed two save my last female fighter as well,i lost three fems and a white and purple male thats mtcw

lol you been to animates and all i know is you should keep them by themself

has anyone used furan 2 wih catfish,the likes of pleco's, bristle's, loachs and most important synodontis ???any ill effects etc
