  2. oooh sorry (new i would forget somthing) :-? the light is 15w and has a cool white 4000k no5 bulb in it the tank is 38cm high and 38cm wide and 75cm long thanks
  3. I am going to get my tank set up this weekend. I’ve read all about fishless cycling and I was wondering if this needs to be done before you add plants? And if you have a lot of plants does this change how you cycle a tank? I plan on having a lot if they are not to hard to grow. Thanks guys Leah
  4. Any hints as to what are easy plants to grow that don’t need a lot of light? And how long do I need to have the aquarium light going for? Mine only has one tube (bulb) would it need to be one of those growlux bulbs? (I think that’s what there called). Second question is I have a filter that hangs of the back of my fish tank called a Jebo 503 and was wondering were I can get new parts/filter bits for it? And also I’ve herd different things about under gravel filters and I’m not sure if there ok to use or not? :-? and last question...is it ok to use second hand filters the one I have came with the fish tank and it was very dirty didn't look like it had been cleaned for a while I’ve given it a good soak and clean should it be ok to use? Thanks guys Leah 8)
  5. Hi everyone my name is Leah and I live in Auckland and I work at Bunning’s. I currently (might change ones getting a bit old) have two cats and I’m hopelessly addicted to computer games (is trying to give up). I have just gotten myself a 105L tank (38x38x75cm) and I was going to put gold fish in it until I did a bit of research and found out its to small for goldfish *sigh (and it looks so BIG to me). So now I’m thinking about trying some freshwater tropical fish although my mother thinks I’m silly for even trying because apparently there to hard to keep and always die. So going to prove her wrong  (which is were you guys come in because I need help :-? ) Anyway going to go post my questions in there correct locations be warned I have a lot lol. Every time I find an answer to one I think of three more. I’m so glad I’ve found a Kiwi forum so I can talk in liters not gallons and hopefully get pointed to things that are actually sold here. Looking forward to getting to know you guys and your fishes. Leah :bounce:
