  1. Heres a pic so you can sorta see what type of bowl im talkn bout, It works well, Circled in green
  2. Ive found that most of them freak out when you put them in the tub with the roaches, I use a white ceramic type cat/dog bowl with a line of fluron around the top, That way you can just pour them into that and they arnt running and hiding straight away. Then the lizards just eat out of the bowl easy
  3. I will be selling some fluon soon-ish, just have to work out some containers/bottles.It lasts for ages. Many people interested?
  4. Heres a link i found on trademe for a full time Reptile keeper wanted at wellington zoo if anyone is interested but hadnt seen it Would be a cool job http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing ... =184850697
  5. Yip good spotting, they are masters of camoflauge them things
  6. On older ones you can see the hemipenes through the skin at the base of the tail if you put pressure in the right spot, dont think you would want to do it to a young one though. Its not 100% accurate though and should only be done if you know what your doing. Also most males have red chins, but not til they are older and that isnt 100% either. Best way is to XRay but i dont know what vets would do it sorry
  7. looks good, but i think it would be better with sand or somthing in there, or astro turf if you dont want sand Heres my bluies cage i built, not happy with the iron on melimine edging so i will probably replace that with some half round wooden beading (click to enlarge) Heres one of dads in australia, sorry about the bad pic on the glass has a colony of dwarf bearded dragons/blacksoil dragons And heres another of his for boyds rainforest dragons( again not a good pic sorry) Its an old glass fronted shop fridge, how many lizards can you count in here?

  10. Yea i think at least 3-4wks old before you sell them, depends on how well they are eating and everything really though. May I ask how much he was? Iszac
  11. Surely MAF could allow someone to import one or two for breeding, if they were properly quarantined and everything . Doubt it though
  12. Same thing happened to me with a cockatiel from animates, how long ago was this.no more business form me
  13. nah im only a poor student so ive just got a bluey, herps are too expensive over here. My dad breeds repts for a living in Australia, thats all he uses. Im prity sure he has the freezer part of the fridge with just the bulb and the actual fridge part has 2 thermostats, one for fan if it gets too hot and 1 if it gets too cold. Thats all he uses for everything he has
  14. get a fridge, rip the guts out, hook a thermostat up to a red or blue party light and bobs your uncle. You can add 2 lights incase of one bulb blowing
  15. Its cool mate, wasn't trying to start and argument or anything they are some cool photos And my bad for saying that juvy was a bells
  16. yea mate not trying to start a fight or anything, that last photo is a bells phase lace monitor or a broad banded lace monitor, so thats why it does not have the same markings. im 100% sure that the first pics are lace monitors but if think different thats fine. http://images.google.co.nz/imgres?imgur ... r%26sa%3DG
  17. yea they are abit dusty lol. Sand monitors very very rarely climb trees whereas laceys live in trees, its definatly a lacey mate Sandy: Lace monitor:
  18. are you sure its a sandy, looks to be more like a lace monitor or somthing similar.my dad has a colony of sand monitors in australia, not the best pic but oh well click to enlarge
